Cast bells need annual inspection and service to be sure that they are operating correctly and safely in the tower. Lubrication and adjusting should be done during these inspections. Often times these hidden mechanical devices are out of sight and forgotten. Worn clapper pins, broken head bolts and worn bearings can lead to a costly mechanical failure.
